Chief Programs Officer (CPO)
The Role
We’re looking for a senior leader who thrives on turning complex certification programs into well-oiled operations—someone who can own NFRC’s programs end-to-end, drive execution, lead technical teams, and bring operational rigor without losing sight of mission and member value.
Ideal Candidate
A seasoned programs or operations executive from the fenestration, product certification, or standards world who has run complex technical programs end-to-end. This is someone who builds the system, holds people to it, and still sees around corners. They have the drive to push things across the finish line, the instinct to support their teams in delivering, and enough judgment to navigate complex technical decisions without getting lost in the weeds.
Key Requirements
10+ years senior/executive experience in fenestration, product certification, or standards. Proven track record managing programs, teams, and vendor relationships. MBA or technical master’s preferred. Non-profit or association experience is a plus. Compensation range: $180,000 – $220,000.
Director, Information Systems
The Role
We need a technology leader who’s guided small organizations through messy digital transformations—someone who can own our entire IT ecosystem, manage vendors with high standards, and make sure our tools actually serve our mission.
Ideal Candidate
A strategic IT leader from a small-to-mid-size organization—ideally in a technical, certification, or standards-driven environment—who has personally led system migrations and vendor relationships. They’re not building a big department; they are the department’s brain. They have the judgment to distinguish what’s actually needed from what’s shiny and new, the creativity to design the path from legacy to modern, and the persistence to see complex migrations through to completion.
Key Requirements
7+ years in IT leadership, preferably in a technical industry or certifying body. Proven track record delivering complex software migrations. Deep familiarity with enterprise SaaS environments (HubSpot, Sage Intacct, or similar). Experience managing proprietary or specialized technical databases. Compensation range: $140,000 – $160,000.
Senior Manager, Quality Assurance
The Role
We’re looking for a quality and compliance leader who sees themselves as the organization’s conscience—someone who will own our ISO accreditation, run tight audits, and hold every team accountable to the standards we set.
Ideal Candidate
A detail-driven QA or compliance leader with deep experience in ISO/IEC accreditation frameworks (17065, 17025, or similar)—ideally from a product certification, testing, or inspection organization. This person operates with autonomy and integrity, and they’re comfortable being the one who says “no, that’s not right,” regardless of who’s in the room. They have the discipline to drive audits and corrective actions to completion, the eye to spot gaps others miss, and the professional backbone to enforce standards without compromise.
Key Requirements
7–10 years in quality assurance, audit, or compliance in a standards-based or regulated industry. Direct experience with ISO/IEC 17065, 17025, or similar accreditation frameworks. Experience in a product certification, inspection, or testing organization is preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; Lead Auditor or CQE certification preferred. Compensation range: $115,000 – $150,000.
