FenStar® Certification Program
Your pathway to ENERGY STAR® certification
ENERGY STAR certification signals that your residential products meet nationally recognized energy‑efficiency criteria. For manufacturers, displaying the ENERGY STAR label can strengthen market credibility, support customer demand for high‑performance products, and align your product lines with various consumer programs and incentives. The label is widely trusted by homeowners, builders, and code officials, making it an advantage in today’s efficiency‑focused residential market.
It begins with NFRC certification.
NFRC is the official certification body for ENERGY STAR windows, doors, and skylights through its FenStar Certification Program. However, to earn ENERGY STAR certification, residential products must first be NFRC certified.
NFRC works with you throughout the certification process—first to complete NFRC certification, and then to facilitate ENERGY STAR certification through NFRC’s FenStar Certification Program. This approach provides a clear, supported path to achieving both certifications.
