Hall of Fame
Since our inception in 1989, the NFRC has benefited from the talents and generosity of hundreds of individuals, and none are taken for granted. Still, in this field of riches, there are standouts.
Volunteers from NFRC member organizations have helped transform the fenestration industry through their tireless efforts to develop globally-respected standards.
As we continue to innovate, we continue to recognize significant contributors to our progress through the NFRC Legends Hall of Fame.

The Dariush Arasteh Member of the Year Award
From 2006 to 2024, volunteers from NFRC member organizations were recognized for their contributions through the Dariush Arasteh Member of the Year program. A researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) for 30 years, Dariush became world-renowned for his expertise and research on energy-efficient windows. Because of his instrumental role in the development of NFRC’s ratings and standards, he was posthumously awarded the NFRC Member of the Year after his passing in 2012, and his legacy was carried forward in the naming of the award.
