NFRC Board Election DETAILS

The NFRC's Board of Directors helps assure that NFRC continues to follow its goal of providing fair and accurate energy performance ratings for fenestration products. It is the Board that assures that ratings published by NFRC actually assist our stakeholders (building code officials, state energy offices, architects, specifiers, builders and the consuming public) in selecting, specifying or evaluating fenestration systems in terms of energy efficiency.

There are three general categories that make up the Board of Directors; the fenestration industry interests (5 seats); the lab interest (1 seat) and the general interest (6 seats). It should be remembered that NFRC is a 501(c )(3) organization; a charitable research and education association; not a trade or industry association. The Board of Directors is weighted towards the general interest to assure that we continue to work towards the public interest and the goals described above.

For detailed descriptions/definitions of the specific seats as outlined above please download a copy of the NFRC's "description of election process" developed to detail the process.

Vote Now!

Voting Deadline: Friday, November 6, 2009

11:59 p.m. EST

NFRC voting members (one per member company) are invited/and strongly urged to log on to the NFRC's voting site and exercise their membership privilege to vote for the NFRC's Board of Directors for 2009.

Please see below for a listing of nominees. All bio information is available on the voting site.

Important Notes:

  • Be sure to contact the NFRC staff or go to the NFRC Member Record page as soon as possible if you have recently had a voting member change, email, or address change!
  • In the past, quite a few members have had election ID emails blocked by their network's spam filters. If you are a voting member and have NOT received this email – please contact membership@nfrc.org or call Melanie Miller, Interim Membership Manager at (301) 589-1776 ext. 208.
  • You will notice that in some cases there are multiple nominees and in other cases there is but a single nominee. Please note, that this is a result of the nomination process where the Board of Directors asks the membership for potential designees for nomination. The nominees you see in each category were designated for that specific seat by the members. All votes, even those to abstain, are important to us.
